Role Description

We are seeking Engineering Specialists to support ADF capability acquisition and sustainment projects in Sydney and Canberra. The ideal candidates will have experience enhancing technical readiness, navigating the Defence Capability Life Cycle, and contributing to strategic Defence outcomes. Knowledge of project/program acquisition engineering and / or Plan Galileo is highly desirable; however roles may involve a range of activities supporting wider Defence capability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess relevant qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Naval Architecture), with the ability to gain appropriate industry accreditation where applicable.
• Prior experience in a Defence acquisition or sustainment setting or a demonstrated adaptability to integrate into a similar environment.
• A solid understanding of the Defence Capability Lifecycle and maritime sustainment.
• Flexibility to take on tasks across different areas within Defence or Whole of Government organisations.

Due to the nature of the work Geodetica is involved in, candidates are required to hold or have the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Australian Government Security Clearance as a minimum and be eligible to access information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARs).

The ideal candidates will have expertise in developing and executing ILS strategies while navigating the Defence Logistics Framework and policies to drive strategic outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess relevant qualifications or experience in Logistics, with the ability to gain appropriate industry accreditation where applicable.
• Prior experience in a Defence maritime setting or the adaptability to integrate into the environment.
• Working knowledge of MILIS, AMPS and APLCRATES is desirable.
• Flexibility to take on tasks across different areas within Defence.

Role Description

We are seeking experienced Project Support Officers and Project Schedulers based in Sydney to drive efficiency in the planning and execution of critical Defence and industry projects.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that directly support ADF capability, while also gaining experience in adjacent industry sectors outside of Defence, including mining, oil, and gas.

Candidates with a background in scheduling maintenance routines are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualifications in Project Management, Scheduling, a Technical Trade (e.g. Marine or Electronics Technician) or equivalent experience is essential.
• Experience in Defence, maritime sustainment, mining or complex asset management is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera P6, Perforce P4) is desirable. However, Geodetica is committed to supporting the right candidate in obtaining the necessary certifications if these qualifications are not currently held.
• Able to work collaboratively within a project team to deliver outcomes and have a willingness to travel for extended periods as required to support project needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to take on varied tasks across Defence and related industries.
