Jason Vella, Managing Director

Jason is an experienced project management specialist with more than two decades of experience delivering complex projects and programs for the public and private sectors.

As a qualified geomatics engineer, Jason’s career began in the oil and gas sector where he worked abroad for almost a decade. He then went on to work for several federal government departments, including Defence where he spent almost a decade leading significant and highly complex projects.

Jason founded Geodetica to bring genuine expertise in engineering, surveying, project management, and strategic planning to organisations in the public and private sectors. Beyond augmenting teams with contractors, his vision is to uplift the capability within client teams so they have everything needed to realise success.

When he’s not working, Jason enjoys spending time with family, travelling, camping, hiking, mountain biking, and quiet reading.
